Job Description: Warehouse Manager / Purchasing

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Manager/Purchasing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of two warehouse staff members, coordinating purchasing activities from suppliers, and overseeing stock management between branches. Your attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and ability to multitask will be essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

Supervise and lead a team of two warehouse staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accuracy through regular stock checks and audits.

Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.

Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Purchasing Assistance:

Collaborate with the purchasing team to identify and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery requirements.

Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Stock Management:

Coordinate stock transfers between branches, ensuring optimal distribution and minimizing stockouts.

Monitor stock levels at each location and collaborate with branch managers to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly.

Analyse sales trends and customer demands to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.

Implement inventory control measures to reduce shrinkage and improve accuracy.

Generate regular reports on stock movements, inventory levels, and related KPIs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience in warehouse management, purchasing, or inventory control roles.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Proficient in inventory management systems and software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Salary: €40,000.00-€53,815.19 per year

  • An Loch, Cork, CO. Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
