Your area of work

Together with other colleagues in different locations of Deutsche Börse Group, you will be part of the Group Tax Department. You will be the responsible tax expert for all ongoing and ad hoc tax matters for several entities operating in the Czech Republic. This will include VAT operation, CIT as well as assist with Transfer Pricing topics. You will also work in close cooperation with other teams within the group (e.g. Financial Accounting, Controlling or Billing). Besides that, you will support projects with a national and international background.


Your responsibilities:

  • Act as the Czech tax expert within the Group Tax Department
  • Prepare monthly VAT returns/VAT provisions and review VAT assessments
  • Determine VAT classifications as part of the new service process, including tax expert reviews required for technical ERP implementations (e.g., Sales and Distribution and Material Management in SAP/S4 HANA)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions (current and deferred taxes) and related financial statement disclosures
  • Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns
  • Support updates of the transfer pricing policies and related documentation, including coordination and/or support preparation of local transfer pricing documentations
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and assist the team in ensuring on-going compliance
  • Be the key contact person for external (tax authorities and external advisors) and internal stakeholders (e.g., accounting, finance, controlling, legal, business)
  • Preparation of decision slides for the management boards for different companies of Deutsche Börse Group


Your profile:

  • Completed (technical) university studies in economics or law or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of national and international tax law at a preferably international consulting firm and/or in a group tax department
  • Ideally qualification as a tax advisor and/or lawyer
  • If possible, experience with SAP ERP systems (preferably S4/Hana)
  • Strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Business fluent in Czech and English (good comprehension of German is an advantage)
  • Commitment, ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, flexibility as well as a confident handling of MS Office applications complete your profile.
