Tasks and Activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Supporting the PNT management, definition and consolidation of LEO mission requirements.
  • Liaising between LEO PNT demonstration activities and the IRIS2 programme including, but not restricted to, the exploitation of satellite communications to provide navigation and positioning capabilities.
  • Participating in programme reviews including the review of documentation and discussions with EUSPA and ESA related to LEO PNT.
  • Supporting industrial contract follow-up.
  • Supporting High Accuracy and other new services. Reviewing and contributing to technical and programme documentation (public specifications, notes, etc.). Supporting the transition between G1G and G2G mission, service and system requirements.
  • Supporting programme reviews including the review of documentation and discussion with EUSPA/ESA related to High Accuracy and other new services (Authentication) and industrial contract follow-up.

Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • An expert in PNT, with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of Govsatcom and IRIS2 projects.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Master’s degree in the relevant discipline.
  • A working knowledge of other European languages, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, team working capabilities, time management skills, analytical thinking and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
