BDH Project Management and Engineering team is looking for a Project Administrator in the Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) Business Line, Services.
This position is to provide critical support functions to the globally based BDH Project Managers and project teams. The BDH Project Administrator will be responsible for supporting and assisting Project Managers in the efficient execution of upgrade and modernization projects cross-borders and cross-technologies by applying the Principal Company Model approach in SAP. Additionally, BDH Project Administrator will act as an SAP Key User as well as support ongoing developments and initiate continuous improvement activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Support and collaborate with Project Managers in executing upgrade and modernization projects by utilizing the Principal Company Model approach in SAP in order to ensure projects are properly created, forecasted, updated, invoiced and closed.
Participate in project-related handover and kick-off meetings as and when required
Perform a variety of SAP-related project activities from project start-up until project closure; as well as activities related to handling the warranty project in SAP
Perform a delegated responsibility as required for compilation, preparation and update of internal and external reports, e.g. progress, financial and resource reports
Assist/coordinate in setting up, reviewing and maintaining a project schedule
Make sure the stage gate reviews and activities related to document systems are followed throughout the projects execution phase
Provide support and training as an SAP Key User to BDH Project Managers and Engineers
Assist in the development, harmonization and maintenance of project procedures and document templates
Provide support during internal and external audits
Assist in onboarding of new team members
Work in accordance with Metso Outotec processes, tools, policies, values and strategies
Ensure Metso Outotec QHSE standards are followed
Qualifications/Experience
College or University degree; or relevant business qualification.
Three plus years of experience in project administration, contracts, project control, procurement, quality control or scheduling.
SAP working experience is mandatory; preferable in Principal Company Model (PCM).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to support/work on several projects effectively and accurately simultaneously.
Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress in order to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
